“All three of my daughters were treated at Mashouf Orthodontics and all of them had Debra brackets placed on their primary teeth. My oldest daughter had treatment elsewhere initially. Her case was quite challenging and at time that we switched to Mashouf Orthodontics, her teeth were a mess. It took a while but her smile is now amazing. My twin girls started their early intervention treatment when they were 7 years old. Dr. Mashouf expanded their palates as well as the lower dental arch, and placed Debra brackets on their primary teeth. The permanent teeth fell into place quite easily and with minimal intervention. Both their cases were great successes and Debra brackets did most of the work. I don’t remember these brackets coming off between appointments, and when it was time to remove them they came off easily. I would highly recommend early intervention orthodontics along with Debra brackets!”

“In the treatment of my mixed dentition patients, I prefer to temporarily bond to the deciduous teeth as anchorage during the use of light NiTi wires.  I then remove the brackets on the deciduous teeth when transitioning into rectangular steel wires. However, as is the nature of deciduous teeth, often these teeth begin to exfoliate or loosen in that short time. The mobility of these teeth makes it very challenging to remove the brackets without discomfort to my patients.  In the past we have had deciduous teeth exfoliate during the process of bracket removal. I have found that the design of the Debra brackets by Mixed Dentition Orthodontics allows me to remove the brackets without applying as much force to the deciduous teeth.  This has improved my patient’s in-office experience. I also feel that the base of the brackets are well adapted to fit the deciduous molars as compared to brackets meant for permanent premolars, which has resulted in less bond failures and less office visits. I would recommend this bracket to anyone who is looking for a bracket that is low profile, well adapting, and easy to remove for use on deciduous teeth during treatment of the mixed dentition.”

“My son needed orthodontic treatment at age 7 for anterior crossbite and a 90-degree rotated upper central incisor. During his treatment, I was surprised that specially-designed brackets, called Debra, could be successfully used on the primary teeth to correct the positions of the permanent incisors. I was also impressed by ease at which these brackets were removed. It seems logical that Debra brackets would be a normal part of a mixed dentition treatment armamentarium.”
